“I Can’t Wait” is this year’s motto under which World Hepatitis Day is marked on July 28 each year, in order to emphasize the need to strengthen the fight against viral hepatitis and the importance of timely testing and treatment because it is the biggest risk factor for liver cancer.

Marking this day gives a voice to those who are affected by viral hepatitis, calling for immediate action and an end to stigma and discrimination, the “Hepar Center Bitola” association points out. The association explains that liver diseases are high on the agenda of health institutions in the country, but it is necessary to pay more attention to ensuring continuity in treatment and introducing new therapies and diagnostic procedures.
