In addition to the celebration of the Ilinden holiday by the church-state delegation led by the Macedonia’s Pesident Stevo Pendarovski, in the monastery of St. Prohor Pchinski, Tuesday morning for the religious holiday of St. Ilija, bishops of the SOC and the MOC-OA held a joint liturgy.
The joint liturgy in the church in the monastery of St. Prohor Pchinski was officiated by the Bishop of Vranje, Mr. Pahomije, and the Metropolitan of Kumanovo-Osogovo, Mr. Gregory and Bishop Stobiski Mr. Jakov of MOC-OA and Bishop David of POA.
Macedonians from Serbia will also celebrate the Ilinden holiday in the Prohor Pchinski monastery today, because August 2 is a public holiday for the Macedonian minority in Serbia.
