An attack on a police officer means an attack on the state, says the Macedonian Minister of the Interior Oliver Spasovski.
I don’t want to comment on court decisions, but there must be stricter penalties for attacks on the police and using weapons, the Interior Minister claims.
Spasovski shared this point of view from Saturday’s interview with TV Kanal 5 on his Facebook account.
It’s nice that the minister defends the police, but he would be a democrat and his point would be complete if he said that stricter punishments are needed for police officers who overstep their authority towards citizens. There were also such photos and recordings from the interventions of the police in the recent protests in Skopje against the French proposal.
