About 80 percent of the households in Arachinovo near the capital Skopje do not have electricity, and the operator EVN Home confirms that on Monday morning there was a major breakdown in the municipality as a result of the large overload of the substations due to the continuous illegal use of electricity by the residents.

“Our teams often face verbal and physical attacks from the residents in Arachinovo, which makes it impossible to carry out the work as a whole. In order for our teams to work, conditions must be created for normal functioning and work, both for failures and for reconstruction and modernization of the network. As long as there are no normal working conditions and there is an obstacle in the execution of the work, there will be no possibility of restoration”, the EVN said.
