Struga Poetry Evenings 2022 start on Thursday

The 61st edition of the Struga Poetry Evenings will begin in the evening in Struga with the reading of Konstantin Miladinov’s “T`ga za Jug” and the lighting of the festival fire. Due to the announcements of rain, instead of on the plateau in front of the Miladinov Brothers culture center, the ceremony will be held on the terrace of the Drim Hotel.

Earlier, at exactly noon, a tree will be planted in the Park of Poetry in honor of the winner of the highest award of the manifestation, “Golden Wreath” for 2022, Japanese poet Shuntaro Tanikawa.

The presence of 24 poets from abroad and 30 from the country has been announced at the Struga Poetry Evenings.
