Our people, that is, the Macedonians in Albania, are an established community, there is a political party, the Macedonian Alliance for European Integrations, until the last composition, until recently, there was a political representative, an MP in the Parliament, there is a Macedonian mayor in Albania, and we believe that such strongly established we should be afraid of no one, or of anything, said Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs BojanMarichikj.
Marichikjemphasized that North Macedonia has a constitutional obligation to take care of its citizens and that the Macedonians in Albania have always been helped by the state.
“However, the fact that someone or a group of people has decided to take citizenship of another country, and based on that they approach them and ask for a different statement, it is still the obligation of every person, every citizen of Albania, to say they are whoever they want freely on the census”, said Marichikj.
