Macedonian national arrested in Bulgaria for trafficking Afghan migrants

The Bulgarian police arrested a Macedonian national who was transporting migrants in a truck Sunday morning in the city of Burgas.

The 60-year-old Macedonian citizen was transporting migrants from Afghanistan. According to initial information, more than 100 people were found in the trailer of the truck.

The truck driver picked the migrants up at the Debelt area, and the truck passed through Burgas. Police officers stopped the truck in the seaside town. A pre-investigation procedure has been initiated for the case.
