The United States supports you to continue with the reforms even when they cause certain political divisions because a strong, democratic and inclusive Macedonia is a pillar for the prosperity of the Western Balkans, stated today the American Ambassador Kate Mary Byrnes in the address after signing the amendment to the Partnership Grant Agreement in Ministry of Finance.
According to Ambassador Byrnes, one of the biggest challenges facing the country is corruption, which undermines good governance and sabotages economic competitiveness. Government representatives, she noted, must respond to challenges, meet public expectations and EU membership standards.
Ambassador Byrnes stressed that the amendment that was signed today opens a new chapter in bilateral relations between the two countries.
