Radiation therapy device for oncology patients will be in operation by the end of the year, says PM Kovachevski

On the occasion of the Independence Day, Macedonian Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, accompanied by with the Minister of Health Bekim Sali attended a presentation of a device for radiation therapy for oncology patients at the “8 Septemvri” General Hospital.

The device, which should be fully operational by the end of the year, was presented by the director of the hospital, HristijanKostov.

“With this device, which is expected to be put into full operation by the end of the year, the pressure on the oncology department of the “Mother Teresa” Clinical Center should be significantly relieved, because as much as a third of the patients there, the health care and service will continue to they receive it in the “8 Septemvri” hospital on a high-quality accelerator from a newer generation, there is no such accelerator in the region, this one is from a newer generation,” PM Kovachevski said.
