In July 2022, 422 building permits were issued, which is 5.4 percent less compared to the same month of the previous year. The data of the State Statistics Office show that the most approvals are in the Southwest and Skopje regions, 98 and 97 respectively, followed by the Polog region with 71, the Eastern region with 47, the Pelagonia region with 40, the Southeastern region with 35, and the Vardar region with 29.
The estimated value of the buildings is MKD 6,206,757,000, 37.6 percent less than the same month last year.
Of the total number of building permits issued, 250 (59.2 percent) are intended for high-rise buildings, 46 (10.9 percent) for low-rise buildings, and 126 (29.9 percent) for reconstruction buildings.
In the reporting period, the construction of 907 apartments is planned, with a total usable area of 81,059 square meters. A total of 301 apartments will be built in the country’s capital Skopje.
