Heating bills have been reduced as of Wednesday in accordance with the guidelines given by the Energy Regulatory Commission two weeks ago. As of Wednesday morning, citizens started receiving new bills by mail and electronically, and it can be noted that they differ from the previous ones by amounts between 300 and 500 denars, depending on the size of the building being heated and its energy efficiency.

Citizens who had bills of around 3,000 denars for August, now receive new, corrected bills in the amount of around 2,500 denars.

The problem in BEG arose because the Government did not pay the subsidies for heating, after which BEG submitted unsubsidized bills.
