An amnesty law is being prepared for citizens who cannot pay the fines due to non-compliance with the measures during the COVID-19 pandemic. It will not apply to restaurants, cafes, companies and other legal entities that violated the protocols.

Apart from the social element, the intention of this law is to avoid prison time for those who cannot pay their fines. In the Criminal Court alone, more than 200 citizens were sentenced to jail time.

With the Amnesty Law, the state will pardon violators of the measures during the COVID-19 pandemic.
