The Ministry of Health informs that the national screening program for early detection of breast cancer continues as of November 1. This is especially important for women when they have signs of changes to their breasts or need to do a check-up, and these activities are initiated for timely diagnosis, that is, for the woman to get to the examination in time in order to detect breast cancer in the early stage.
Women aged 45 to 69 will be included in the national screening program who have not had a mammogram in the last two years, while women aged 40 to 44 who have a family member with breast cancer and or another additional risk factor will have the opportunity to self-initiatively register for screening mammography on a special page for that purpose.
