The latest published information regarding AD ESM’s decision to test new engines with diesel fuel in the East and West heating plants in Skopje after November 15 is frivolous and unnecessary in conditions where natural gas is an option as an energy source for these heating plants, urges the Center for environmental research and information Eko-Svest Skopje.

Eko-Svest believes that the announcement that 10 new diesel pumps have been installed in the heating plants, which will be tested after 10 days in each heating plant, is a short-term solution that has been implemented non-transparently, and will bring long-term harmful consequences for the health of the citizens of Skopje.
