The candidate for a new term as the head of the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Corruption Vilma Ruskovska said that if she loses these elections she will admit defeat. She expects to win and added “Justice must prevail.”
“No, I have not received such information (that there are pressures) from any colleague. If these elections are not fair, when prosecutors vote, then what can we expect from any other elections. I am absolutely sure that they will be fair,” said Ruskovska before the vote on Monday.
Asked whether if another candidate wins it would mean that justice did not win, Ruskovska answered:
“So I hope, I respect my colleagues, I hope they will continue where I left off.”
