Whatever happens with ESM’s electricity production and whatever happens in the energy system, citizens will never pay more than what they are currently paying, the Macedonian Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi said on Thursday.
“The ESM submits a proposal to the Government on the production price of electricity, and the Government decides on it in a closed session. The cost of ESM to the universal supplier is borne by the Government. I have the approximate calculations in terms of what the price of electricity could be after January 1 and according to our projections and the discussion we will have at the Economic Council starting today, I can say that the crisis will not be borne by citizens, households and to small consumers,” Bekteshi pointed out in response to a media question at today’s press conference in the Government.
