With the symbolic cutting of Christmas branches in the village of Govrlevska Krasta on the southern slopes of Vodno, the annual celebration of Christmas Eve officially began Sunday at noon, organized for the 31st time by the Civic Association “Committee for the Traditional Celebration of Christmas Eve in Skopje”.
The first Christmas branch was cut by the godfathers Mojso Mojsovski and Marko Ilkovski-junior and Ive Stevkov, Dragan Spasov Dac and Aleksandar Mitevski, and Zhivko Popovski Cvetin, last year’s godfather and toastmaster, then the mayors of Skopje, Centar and Sopishte, former godfathers and toastmasters, invited guests and entertainers.
