Skopje is once again a city with very polluted air this morning. On the list of capitals and largest cities in the world, Skopje, just before 11:00 am on Monday, was ranked sixth in the world according to the air quality index (out of 175), that is, according to pollution.

All the cities that are in the company of Skopje, at least the first 10-15, are multimillion-dollar cities.

What is particularly concerning is the high level of PM2.5 particles in Skopje, which are particularly dangerous for health and are carcinogenic. The most polluted air is in Lisiche, Gazi Baba, Aerodrom and in part of the Gjorche Petrov municipality.
