The procedure in the Parliament to change the Constitution should start in June or July, 2023, at the latest, to end by November, when the screening by the EU ends, the Macedonian Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi told a press briefing on Tuesday.
Xhaferi said that he does not think that elections will solve the problem of not having enough votes (80) for constitutional amendments, but that it will complicate the whole matter. On how to overcome the problem with the majority, the Parliament Speaker says that the Government and the opposition should sit down and discuss it.
