The leader of VMRO-DPMNE Hristijan Mickoski posted on social media a photo in which he himself is dressed in a military uniform, alluding to the fact that he signed up as a volunteer in the conflict in 2001. He did this in response to the leader of DUI, Ali Ahmeti, who said on Friday night in Tetovo that the leader of the largest opposition party watched the conflict in 2001 only on television.

Mickoski added that now Ahmeti lives in haciendas in Zajas, while his coalition partner Dimitar Kovachevski from SDSM “was a deserter”, alluding to the VMRO-DPMNE campaign that the prime minister registered as unfit for military service.

“Ali [Ahmeti] can tell his fairy tales about 2001 to Dimitar Kovachevski. I, on the other hand, thought that they would brag about opening a new factory,” Mickoski posted on Facebook.
