The Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that the nine citizens of Macedonia, who were found in areas in Turkey threatened by the consequences of the earthquake, arrived in the country Thursday morning and are in good health.
The Macedonian nationals are eight pupils and their mentor/teacher, who stayed in the Republic of Turkey through the “Erasmus Plus” program.
“As soon as the group was identified in the threatened region, a diplomat was sent from the embassy in Ankara, to assist until they were sent to the country. After the initial medical treatment of two people who were diagnosed with injuries, the group was sent first to Ankara, and then to Istanbul, where they were provided with accommodation, medical care and rest,” said the Ministry in a press release.
