Macedonian Red Cross sends first shipment of humanitarian aid to Turkey and Syria

The humanitarian aid collected by the Red Cross of Macedonia is leaving on Tuesday for the regions affected by the earthquakes that affected Turkey and Syria last Monday. The General Secretary of the Red Cross, Sait Saiti, informed that a total of MKD 25,120,773 in monetary aid, and two trucks with 800 packages of food, 1,700 packages of hygiene products and 4,000 blankets have been collected.

The Turkish Ambassador to Skopje Hasan Mehmet Sekizkök said that through various non-governmental organizations and companies, 850 tons of food products, 53 tons of clothes, 27 tons of hygiene materials and 4,360 blankets, 186 heaters, 37 tents, as well as 18 aggregates have been delivered.
