Czech Church recognizes MOC-OA as the “Orthodox Church of North Macedonia”

The Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Republic and Slovakia decided to recognize the autocephaly of the “Orthodox Church of North Macedonia”, reported the Orthodoxtimes portal.

The Synod’s press release reads that “they were informed about the letters of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew about the restoration of the Eucharistic communion with the dioceses of North Macedonia, as well as about the letters of the Serbian Patriarch Porfirije about the reintegration of the Church in North Macedonia into the canonical structure of the Orthodox Church of Serbia and for granting autocephaly to the Orthodox Church in North Macedonia with the Tomos on May 20, 2022”.
