The total consumption of electricity in households in January of this year was over 349 GWh (349,830,666 kWh), while in the same month last year it was consumed more and it was 408 GWh.
“Since January, after the new electricity price came into force, which is lower for 99.2% of households, the trend of rational use of electricity continues. Every month we analyze the data and measure the effects of block tariffs. The weather conditions also help, but the fact is that households use electricity rationally, and so in January consumption decreased by 14%, compared to the same period last year,” said the head of the Regulatory Commission for Energy and Water Services, Marko Bislimoski.
