The leader of VMRO-DPMNE Hristijan Mickoski says in a Facebook status that it is not true that the inflation of food prices is imported, in the Eurozone inflation is twice as low.
“Political manipulators, the DUI government supported by SDSM are not telling the truth when they say that inflation and high prices of basic food products are imported.
Namely, the cost of living in January 2023 compared to January 2022 has increased by 17.1%, and the prices of food and soft drinks for the same period are higher by 25.1%, according to the State Statistics Office (Figure 1).
Just for comparison, according to EUROSTAT, inflation in the Eurozone in January 2023 compared to January 2022 is expected to be 8.5% (Figure 2), twice less than in Macedonia.
We have a plan, we know how to deal with the challenge. Elections are needed so that Macedonia can move forward,” reads Mickoski’s Facebook status.
