Court confiscates Latas’ passport and bans him and Lazarov from public appearances

The Skopje Criminal Court established a case for the controversial interview of the journalist Dragan Pavlovikj-Latas with the YouTuber Stefan Lazarov.

Following the proposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office to determine precautionary measures against the two persons, the court accepted the proposal with a decision and the accused Latas was ordered to take a preventive measure, temporary confiscation of his travel document, i.e. a ban on its issuance and a ban on undertaking certain work activities related to the criminal act, a ban on public performance, which promotes the spread of racist and xenophobic material.

“The accused YouTuber Stefan Lazarov is also given a precautionary measure due to the presence of the accused, namely a ban on undertaking certain work activities related to the crime, i.e. a ban on public appearances promoting the spread of racist and xenophobic material,” the Court said.
