Companies that don’t reduce prices without objective reasons shouldn’t get subsidized electricity, Kovachevski claims

I believe that for companies that do not respect the gentleman’s agreement between the Government and the Chambers of Commerce to reduce the prices of their products, the measure for the purchase of electricity at a subsidized price should not apply, Macedonian Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski said on Friday.
“If there are no objective reasons for not reducing the prices despite the subsidized price of electricity, then naturally they will not receive a subsidized price of electricity, because that electricity is subsidized by the citizens of the state. And these are the funds of the citizens so that the prices of the products can be reduced,” Kovachevski said when asked about the presentation of the new investment of the German company Gerresheimer.
