Ombudsman: Increased number of discrimination complaints from citizens

The number of discrimination complaints received by the Ombudsman in 2022 increased – 76 were submitted, i.e. over 30 more than the previous year, said Ombudsman Nasser Ziberi at the opening of the conference “Is the Republic of North Macedonia a fair country?” How can the institutions jointly advance the fight against discrimination?”

According to the complaints received and those that the Ombudsman opened on his own initiative, the most numerous are those in the field of work and labor relations, then access to other services, justice and administration, housing, education, science, sports, social security, etc.
