The bilateral screening meeting for Chapter 2 “Free Movement of Workers” is underway in Brussels, for which the Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj, in his video address from the EC, said that this is very important for Macedonian citizens. Because, by aligning with the EU legislation, the barriers to the European labor market are removed, and its opening will make the Macedonian worker more valued.

“The accession of North Macedonia to the European Union for Macedonian citizens will mean work without a work permit, equal treatment in employment as with the citizens of other EU members, equal social insurance, the right to pension and social contributions and mutual recognition of qualifications,” says Marichikj.
