Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski met will U.S. State Department’s Coordinator on Global Anti-Corruption Richard Nephew on Friday.

At the meeting, they discussed current topics related to the fight against corruption and the country’s efforts to establish an efficient system for the prevention of corruption and conflict of interests.

President Pendarovski stressed that the fight against crime and corruption, at every level, including high corruption, is of exceptional importance in the efforts to build the rule of law and to gain citizens’ trust in the institutions.
