Lidl to open a market in Skopje

At the location where the current market Brikolage is located, in Gazi Baba Municipality, the first Lidl market in the country will be opened. The German trade chain bought the location of Bricolage from Skopski Pazar.
In February 2021, Lidl registered its company in Macedonia, in Skopje Center, with a deposit of 500 thousand euros, and it will be managed by the Bulgarian branch. The market announced that they have picked a location for their logistics center on land of about 200 thousand square meters in the territory of Kumanovo Municipality, for which they would invest 80 million euros and employ more than 150 people. The investment in the logistics center alone is around 80 million euros and includes the intention to provide more than 150 jobs.
