The average monthly net salary in January of this year was MKD 33,943 and compared to the same month last year, it increased by 13.2 percent, the State Statistics Office (SSO) announced on Tuesday.
This increase is due, above all, to the increase in the average monthly paid net salary per employee on an annual level in the sectors Transport and storage (23.4 percent), Construction (20.9 percent) and Information and communications (17.3 percent).
A decrease in the average monthly paid net salary per employee compared to December 2022 was observed in the sectors: Construction (5.1 percent), Manufacturing industry (5 percent) and Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (3.5 percent).
