At Wednesday’s government session, a decision is expected to be taken to freeze the prices of a range of hygiene products, and a reduction in the prices of some fruits is also being considered, the Macedonian Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi announced on Tuesday. He did not reveal today which date will be taken as the point at which the current prices of those products will return.
“Most likely, a decision will be made to freeze the prices of hygiene products at the government meeting tomorrow. We are also waiting for the analyzes from the Customs Administration in the section of the import prices reported by the traders dealing in fruits and vegetables, so let’s see how big the difference is in the margin section so that during this week we can also freeze imported products, which are generally fruits,” Bekteshi said.
