The dogs that attacked the eight-year-old child in Pintija, Skopje, have been isolated and placed under the supervision of an official veterinarian. The Food and Veterinary Agency (FVA) informs that they are properly identified with a microchip.

Personally, as a human being and as the director of the FVA, I express the deepest condolences for the tragedy in which a young life was extinguished. From the inspection, it was determined that two dogs, which have an owner, participated in the unfortunate event. The dogs have been identified with a microchip and they are now isolated and placed under the supervision of an official veterinarian. The yard where the dogs are kept is properly fenced and a warning sign “Beware of the dog” is placed at the entrance, says the FVA head Nikolche Babovski.

The control will examine whether the owner of the dogs complied with the provisions of the laws on veterinary health, on identification and registration of animals and on health care and welfare, the conditions for keeping the dogs by the owner, etc.
