Macedonian Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi, Power Plants director Vasko Stefanov, Mining Power Complex Bitola workers and media representatives gathered at the Bitola coal-fired power plant to mark the end of the heating season.
PM Kovachevski stressed that in the conditions of the world crisis we increased domestic production and ESM instead of the legally stipulated 60% production of electricity, in full, i.e. 100% provided electricity for households and small consumers.
“Now that the heating season has come to an end, I can only be proud of the results we achieved and the joint success: We turned the crisis into an opportunity. The help from our allies and strategic partners, as well as from the European Union with 80 million euros, was very significant for us to succeed in realizing our efforts so that there is no price shock for the citizens and the electricity bills remain the same,” Kovachevski said.
