A new 300 megawatts of installed capacity from renewable energy sources is expected to be connected to the grid this year, which is twice as much as last year, revealed Marko Bislimoski, the head of the Energy Regulatory Commission – REC and the chairman of the Board of Regulators from the Energy Community at the Energy Summit in Neum, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“With this pace of investments for the production of electricity from renewable energy sources, in a year and a half, the country reached the targets from the Green Scenario that were to be realized by 2040 from the Energy Strategy. We should now revise the Energy Strategy in this part, because the circumstances of the energy crisis drastically changed the pace of realization of investments for the production of electricity from the Sun, wind and water,” said REC president Bislimoski.
