For three months, the agreement concluded between N. Macedonia and Bechtel and Enka, for the construction of Corridors 8 and 10D, has been kept from the public, which is the reason for accusations between the government and the opposition, and the citizens can only believe their word that the documents are kept in a drawer.

The Government’s justification is that there was a secrecy clause in it, and law professor Mirjana Najchevska believes that hiding the contract means that there is some kind of fraud in it.

At the same time, the leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski, pointed out that the Government has taken commitments to Bechtel and Enka of hundreds of millions of euros and there’s still no sign of construction work.

SDSM, on the other hand, claims that the opposition is targeting Bechtel and Enka.

At the same time, the state began to spend the planned 1.3 million euros for the construction of corridors 8 and 10D.

Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski confirmed that the Government gave the authority to transfer the funds, but despite the accusation from the opposition that the account of the contractor Bechtel and Enka is being filled, the Prime Minister claims that everything is in accordance with the signed contract and it has nothing to do with paying damages.
