The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services (AVMS) condemns the removal of the videographers present at yesterday’s session of the Judicial Council and points out that this unprofessional attitude towards the media contributes not only to casting a shadow on the transparency of the judiciary, but also to the violation of the public’s right to be fully informed about the work of the judicial authorities.
“We remind you that it is particularly important to provide unhindered access to all journalist teams for reporting on events that are of public interest, in the direction of ensuring transparency and accountability of the institutions,” reads the AVMS’s reaction.
