The film agency announced that it filed a criminal complaint against the production Banana Film by the world-famous Macedonian director Milcho Manchevski, who won the Venice Golden Lion for “Before the Rain” in 1994, and will also stop all mutual projects.
They suspect that the production did not state the actual situation regarding the operation of the “Mothers”, “Willow”, “Kaymak” and “Bista” projects, and they refer to an inspection carried out by the Ministry of Culture and the Financial Police Administration.
The announcement states that for the “Mothers” project, the production has not yet submitted the final report for the spent MKD 55,000,000.00, as well as for all other additional funds spent for the realization of this project.
