The total number of transported passengers in passenger road transport in the first three months of 2023 is 12,995 and compared to the same period last year it has increased by 24.2%, the State Statistics Office said on Tuesday.
According to the type of transport, the number of transported passengers in city transport increased by 34.6%, in suburban transport by 12.1%, in intercity transport by 15.8%, and in international transport by 37.6%.
In the first quarter of 2023, compared to the same period of 2022, the total number of passenger kilometers in road passenger transport increased by 9.5%. According to the type of transport, the number of passenger kilometers in city transport increased by 8.1%, in suburban transport it decreased by 0.2%, in intercity transport it increased by 22.5%, and in international transport the increase was 7.6%.
