The increase in the cost of living in May compared to last May was 11.6 percent, according to the State Statistics Office. On a monthly basis, there is a small growth in the cost of living of only 0.4 percent.
Statisticians recorded a monthly decrease in oil and fat costs of 2.4 percent, milk by 1.6 percent, and bread and cereals by 0.7 percent.
Retail prices in May compared to last May increased by 7.5 percent, and in May compared to April, they decreased by 0.9 percent. At the same time, the annual growth of the prices of food products is 12.7 percent.
