Bulgaria cannot set new conditions, because the negotiating framework is closed. It cannot be opened neither by our opposition nor by the Bulgarian opposition, said Macedonian Minister of Foreign Affair Bujar Osmani in answer to a journalist’s question at a press conference Thursday in Struga, regarding the German resolution, which calls for Bulgaria to refrain from setting new conditions for North Macedonia Euro-integrations.

“Let’s close the topic that tomorrow some Bulgarian Government can say we have a new condition. There is no new condition. The negotiating framework is closed. In the negotiating framework, there are three guidelines. One of the guidelines has an Action Plan on minorities, which is the only condition that is a part of the benchmarks for opening and closing chapters. The Action Plan doesn’t only concern the Bulgarian community, but all other communities in the country. And of course, all these conditions will have to be fulfilled in terms of equal rights for all citizens regardless of ethnic belonging,” said Minister Osmani.
