MES: Infrastructural investments are being intensified for better teaching conditions in primary and secondary schools

The Ministry of Education and Science (MES) is intensifying construction activities during the students’ summer vacation, with the aim of rounding off more infrastructure investments that will mean improved conditions in primary and secondary schools in the new academic year. With a budget of over 4.5 million euros, reconstruction activities are foreseen in 50 school buildings in several municipalities across the country, announced the ministry on Thursday.

The funds have been provided in the budget of the Ministry of Education and Science through the department for capital investments, the project unit for the construction of 145 sports halls and the rehabilitation of school facilities, and most of the schools, i.e. 40 facilities, will be covered by reconstruction activities with the support of the World Bank, which finances it the implementation of the Project for the improvement of primary education.
