PPO finds no criminal responsibility for the death of little Jana – there were no errors in the treatment

There is no crime in the medical treatment of 6-year-old Jana, who died just a few hours after being admitted to the Bitola hospital, the Public Prosecutor’s Office decided. The announcement from the PPO states that according to the expert report and the report from the Forensic Medicine, it was established that the actions of all health workers who participated in Jana’s treatment on March 22 were in accordance with all the rules and principles of medicine.

“Taking into account this kind of expertise, which was based on the entire medical documentation, the health history of the deceased and the autopsy findings, as well as the statements of the examined health professionals and the parents, the Public Prosecutor’s Office sent a notice to the family that in this particular case there is no basis for further public prosecutor’s action, reads the PPO’s press release.
