The Judicial Council accepts the idea of the EU ambassador, David Geer, to send an evaluation mission on the work of this body. European Ambassador Geer stated in a television interview that the EU is sending an evaluation mission to N. Macedonia for the work of the Judicial Council, after a series of scandals and turmoil in the past few months.
The Judicial Council indicated Thursday that it highly appreciates the efforts of the EU, but also the personal engagement of the ambassador in finding concrete solutions, which should lead to this institution being able to fully exercise its legal powers, as well as the constitutional mission that is in operation of protecting and promoting the independence, professionalism and integrity of the judiciary and judges.
