The average family of four in N. Macedonia needed 48,543 Macedonian denars (MKD) to cover minimal living expenses in June 2023, according to the Federation of Trade Unions of N. Macedonia.
According to the Unions, although a slight drop was observed in the value of the consumer basket in June, basic monthly food costs have increased.
MKD 19,805 were needed to cover basic monthly food costs and MKD 13,416 to cover basic monthly utilities. The minimal cost of personal hygiene items and household cleaning products was approximately MKD 3,252. Minimal transportation costs amounted to MKD 3,720.
