Total crime in Ohrid in the past five months decreased by 22 percent compared to 2022

The total crime in the area of Ohrid in the past five months of 2023, compared to the same period last year, recorded a decrease of 22%. In the area of ​​serious thefts, during the year, we recorded a decrease of 38%, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced during Thursday’s meeting between Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski and with the management of the Regional Center for Border Affairs West, Ohrid Police Department and the Struga Police Department within the framework of the “Safe Summer 2023” project.

“Classic crime in the territory of Ohrid in the first five months of the year recorded a decrease of 20% compared to the same period last year. There is also a decrease in the area of ​​economic crime, where this year compared to the first five months of last year there is a decrease of 38%. A positive trend is also noted in the field of traffic,” informed the MoI.
