The Macedonian Euro-integrations, the current political and economic situation in the country, as well as the bilateral cooperation with Croatia were the topics of discussion at Monday’s meeting between VMRO-DPMNE leaderHristijanMickoski and party vice-president TimchoMucunski, with the Croatian State Secretary for Europe AndrejaMetelkoZgombić.

According to VMRO-DPMNE’s press release, Mickoski said at the meeting there shouldn’t be any double standards on the country’s path to the European Union, and the same conditions, i.e., the Copenhagen criteria, should apply, as they have for all other member states in the past.

“Regarding the constitutional changes, Mickoski stressed that VMRO-DPMNE will not permit a change to the Macedonian Constitution under Bulgarian dictate and blackmail, and added that EU membership must not threaten the Macedonian national interests,” said VMRO-DPMNE.
