The Institute of Public Health (IPH) announced in its report published on July 10 that Hotel Desaret”, Gradiste autocamp, Ljubanishta and Livadishta, restaurant Ostrovo and other hospitality facilities at the St. Naum church, as well as the tourist settlements from Struga to Radozhda, are connected to the sewage system that was built in 2013, but it is out of operation.
According to the institute’s findings, in the wastewater treatment phase there is only a crusher for fecal matter, but there are no filters and there is no chlorination of the wastewater before discharge into the lake, which is a direct pollutant of the lake.
“The only hotel on this stretch connected to the collector system is the Makpetrol hotel, the Biser hotel,” reads the IPH report.
