The Macedonian Minister of Labor and Social Policy Jovanka Trenchevska emphasized that the General Collective Agreement is a historic agreement that was signed after 15 years and contains benefits for the entire public sector, i.e. 130,000 people.
“Just as we defined the system for the minimum wage, for pensions, we have now created a systemic solution that will not depend on political will, we enable a constant growth of wages in the public sector,” Trenchevska pointed out.
According to the new General Collective Agreement, as of March 2025 there will be a new methodology, where there will be a coefficient of complexity that is multiplied by the growth of the average salary.
According to the minister, the General Collective Agreement represents a defined salary system for the public sector.
